I snark otherwise, but I actually think resolutions are great. I think choosing a point of the year, whether Jan 1 or your birthday or national cupcake day, as a demarcation point for a fresh, blank slate is a very healthy practice.

Animals were, and still are, my favorite part of being alive. I put on nature shows as background while writing; I devour anything books and articles on animals. Other kids had cars or sports stars on their walls. I had cheetahs, hippos, whales, giraffes… and He-Man, who's his own unique kind of 80’s animal.

My new EP Again is now out. And with that, I’m retiring.

It’s time to withdraw from writing and releasing music commercially for a while. An unforeseeable, but likely long, while.

Before I get into that, let’s talk about Again. I’m pretty proud of it, so indulge me in spitting out some hot fiery musings on it.
